Inspired cuisine for inspired adventures
A trip to Zambezi Grande is a voyage for the palate as well. From seasonal ingredients to the signature flavours of Africa, every meal promises to be unforgettable and made from scratch, like all good dishes should be. If we don’t grow the produce we use, we source it from local farmers to ensure that every ingredient is fresh, seasonal and sustainable. We aren’t afraid to change up our menus regularly to keep things creative and most of all, delicious. If our guests have any dietary requirements or special requests, we waste no time pulling out the stops to make their stay a memorable and flavoursome one.
We give back through our Chengetai Project
As a lodge that’s big on empowering our local community, we believe it’s important to do what we can for the people who call this region home. One example is our Chengetai Tree Project. Meaning to keep or preserve in our local Gova language, “Chengetai” allows us (in collaboration with our guests) to plant more Natal Mahogany (Trichilia Emetica) trees in our surrounding communities. These will help to:
· Fight the ever-present threat of deforestation
· Provide a place of shade for the community to congregate
· Act as an outdoor classroom of sorts to host environmental classes for village children
